I've always loved hosting. There's something about bringing people together in your own home that feels irreplaceable. But somewhere along the way, between work, kids, and everything else life piles on, I quietly stopped doing it. Not because I didn't want to. But because every time I tried, I either ended up greeting my guests fresh out of the shower, still scrambling to finish getting ready, or completely wiped out from spending the entire day cleaning and setting up. By the time people arrived, the version of me they got was exhausted. And that's not the host I wanted to be.

There's something special about hosting people you love in your own home. The table set just right, the candles lit, the space feeling warm and welcoming. But if you've ever hosted before, you know the hours leading up to that moment don't always feel that way.

You're arranging flowers while watching the clock, wiping down surfaces in between getting dressed, and setting up the food table only to realize nothing looks quite the way you pictured it. By the time your first guest arrives, you're already exhausted.

Lumina's Event Day Help was designed for exactly this moment. We come to you ahead of your gathering and take care of everything that needs to happen before the first hello. We start with a brief conversation to understand your vision for the space and the occasion. Then we get to work.

We tidy common areas, wipe down kitchen surfaces, and make sure the entryway and bathrooms are clean and guest-ready. Using pieces you already own or items you've sourced for the occasion, we style and arrange décor that reflects the mood you're going for, whether that's candles, fresh flowers, table settings, or decorative objects. We also set up your food and drink presentation so everything looks polished and intentional. And if you're expecting any vendor or catering deliveries during our window, we're there to receive them.

We work through a three to five hour preparation window, and when everything is in place, we do a final walkthrough with you before we leave. What you're left with is a home that feels effortlessly put together, and a version of yourself that actually got to enjoy getting ready for the night.

This is more than a cleaning service. It's a way of reclaiming the part of hosting that actually matters. The conversation, the laughter, the feeling of being fully present with the people you invited in. It's walking into your own home the way your guests will, and thinking, this is exactly right.
