Service Agreement
Effective Date: March 19, 2026

1. Services

Lumina Cleaning & Organizing offers the following residential cleaning services in Chicago, Illinois:

  • Recurring Clean

  • Deep Clean

  • Move In / Move Out Clean

  • Ambiente/Spaces Organization

  • Open House Ready

  • Event Setup Service

Optional add-on services are available at an additional cost and must be selected at the time of booking. Lumina reserves the right to decline any service that falls outside the scope of standard residential cleaning or that presents a safety concern for our team. Please check in our website the scope of each service

2. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed upon receipt of your booking request and payment authorization. You will receive a confirmation notification via email or text with your appointment details, including the time window and any notes on file for your home.

A reminder will be sent the day before your scheduled appointment. If any details have changed, please contact us before your appointment time.

3. What's not included in the services

The following are excluded from all services unless explicitly agreed upon in writing:

Heavy decluttering in cleaning services, Carpet shampooing, Wall washing, Exterior window washing, Post-renovation or construction cleanup, Laundry or washing dishes, Cleaning of chandeliers or detailed light fixtures, Cleaning high or hard-to-reach areas requiring a ladder, Biohazard or bodily fluid cleanup, Pest control or areas affected by active infestations, Fireplace cleaning, Junk removal or large item disposal, Moving or lifting heavy appliances or furniture, Garage cleaning, Exterior cleaning of patios, decks, or driveways, Cleaning while movers or contractors are actively working in the home, Removal of items left behind in the property including furniture, debris, or heavy trash, Installing shelves, assembling or disassembling furniture (organizing services), Staging furniture or decorating (Open House Ready), Repairs or touch-up painting (Open House Ready), On-site presence during the event (Event Setup Service), Contacting or scheduling vendors in advance (Event Setup Service), Post-event cleanup unless booked separately as a Standard or Deep Clean

4. Payment

Payment is due on the day of service. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods. By providing payment information at the time of booking, you authorize Lumina Cleaning & Organizing to charge the agreed amount on the day of service.

All prices are quoted in advance based on the information provided at the time of booking. If the scope of the clean differs significantly from what was described (for example, a home in substantially worse condition than indicated), we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly and will notify you before proceeding.

A $50 chargeback fee will be applied to any disputed charges that are found to be invalid.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life happens. We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Late Cancellation

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. This fee compensates our team for the time that has been reserved and cannot be filled on short notice.

  • Lockout Policy

If our team arrives at your home and is unable to gain access (no one home, no key or code provided, or access is blocked), a $75 lockout fee will be charged. The team will wait for 30 min before leaving. Please ensure access instructions are accurate and up to date before your appointment.

  • Recurring Service Cancellation

To cancel a recurring service plan (weekly or biweekly), please provide at least 7 days notice. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice for recurring services will be charged the standard late cancellation fee of $75.

6. Access to Your Home

You are not required to be home during the cleaning. However, you must ensure that our team has safe and unobstructed access to your home at the scheduled appointment time. Please provide accurate access instructions including any key, lockbox code, or door code at the time of booking.

Parking: In accordance with Chicago parking requirements, we ask that you provide available parking within one block of your home where possible, or inform us of any parking restrictions in your area.

7. Preparing Your Home

To help us provide the best possible clean, we ask that you complete a basic tidy before our arrival. Items left on the floor will be moved aside to clean underneath but will not be cleaned themselves.

If you would like help with tidying or decluttering before the clean, we offer a Quick Declutter add-on that can be selected at the time of booking.

8. Pets

For the safety and comfort of both your pets and our team, we ask that pets be secured in a separate room or outdoor space during the cleaning.

9. Cleaning Products & Safety

We bring all necessary supplies and equipment. The only item we ask clients to provide is a toilet brush, which we do not carry for hygiene reasons.

If you have a preferred product or a surface that requires specific care, please let us know at the time of booking. We do not use any harsh chemicals or bleaches and reserve the right to refuse to use any requested chemicals that we feel pose a health risk.

Attention: Our team will not clean in conditions that present a health or safety risk, including but not limited to active pest infestations, biohazard materials, hoarding conditions, mold removal or any environment that puts our staff at risk. In such cases, a cancellation fee may apply.

10. Satisfaction Guarantee

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not happy with any area of your clean, please notify us within 24 hours of your appointment and we will return to re-clean the area at no additional charge. Please note that due to the nature of our service, we do not offer monetary refunds, our commitment is to make it right by coming back and doing the job again.

The satisfaction guarantee does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • The concern was not reported within 24 hours of the appointment

  • The area was not accessible or was specifically excluded at the time of the clean

  • The condition was pre-existing and not caused by our team

  • The home was not reasonably prepared prior to the clean

11. Liability & Damage

Lumina Cleaning and Organizing carries general liability insurance. In the event of accidental damage caused by our team during service, Lumina must be notified within 24 hours of the appointment. Lumina will not be held responsible for damage to items that were not disclosed prior to the appointment, pre-existing damage, or items that are inherently fragile or improperly secured.

 

Lumina is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from client-provided access codes, keys, or entry methods. The client assumes responsibility for ensuring all access information is accurate and secure.

 

For organizing services, Lumina is not responsible for items donated, discarded, or removed at the direction of the client. All decisions regarding items are made solely by the client.

12. Privacy & Confidentiality

All client information, including name, address, access instructions, and any personal details shared with Lumina, is kept strictly confidential. Lumina does not sell, rent, or share client information with third parties. For full details please refer to our Privacy Policy at luminagreencleaning.com.

13. Changes to These Terms

Lumina Cleaning & Organizing reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

By booking our services, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined in this Service Agreement. This constitutes a legally binding agreement under the Illinois Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). No physical signature is required.
